Education Centre 1 (Preston) has a large dining hall.  For any catering enquiries, please contact the Education Centre team by emailing education.rph@lthtr.nhs.uk. 

Education Centre 3 (Chorley) also has a large dining hall with food provided by the Trust’s catering team.

All three Education Centres have access to vending machine and water dispensers.

LIFE Centre does not have any catering facilities.

Yes. If you require any adaptors to assist with your session you can sign these in/out at the reception desk.

Yes. You can access the ‘Public Wifi’ on settings and follow the instructions given.

Yes. All our rooms are fully equipped with flipcharts, flipchart paper & pens.

You can send over your presentations to the education centre via email education.rph@lthtr.nhs.uk for Preston or education.cdh@lthtr.nhs.uk for Chorley. If using a USB we advise as a backup to send it over electronically to us as different types of USB’s may not work.

Yes. This is at your own risk as the education centre cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.

The Health Academy Education centres are staffed:

  • Royal Preston Hospital
    Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4.30pm
  • Chorley Hospital
    Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

The buildings are accessible with a valid Trust ID badge 24 hours per day.

Bookings can be made out of hours but further charges may apply or if you are employed by the Trust, a responsible lead form can be completed.

With trust ID badge access the library is 24 hours but is only staffed;

  • Royal Preston Hospital

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 09:00 – 19:00

  • Chorley Hospital

Monday – Friday  09:00 – 17:00
