COVID-19 Study looking for Voluntary Participants

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals staff have been invited to take part in research led by the University of Leicester. The study, UK-REACH, aims to explore how ethnicity may affect COVID-19 outcomes across the UK, and the impact of the pandemic on healthcare workers. Recommendations from the study will help to inform future public health initiatives.

All health care workers can take part including those in ancillary roles (porters, catering, security, administrative staff). The University of Leicester particularly encourage those from an ethnic minority background. The aim of this study is to understand if, how, and why, ethnicity affects COVID-19 diagnosis and clinical outcomes in people who work in healthcare settings. It is entirely voluntary, and you can answer questions at your own discretion.

You can find out more about the study here.
