For the attention of all staff, we would like to inform you that applications for elective medical student placements have been temporarily paused.
As a Trust, we remain fully committed to supporting medical education. However, due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, we are currently experiencing a significant increase in demand for elective placements from our existing partner universities. As a result, we are not able to accept additional applications at this time.
We hope to review this position in the new academic year. Until then, if you are contacted directly by a medical student seeking to arrange an elective placement, please kindly direct them to the Undergraduate Curriculum Team undergradstaps@lthtr.nhs.uk, who will provide further information regarding the temporary pause.
