Advanced Labour Ward Practice ASM Course

Aimed at: Doctors working at ST6/7 or equivalent level and above.

Course content:  This one day course will cover all the content in the RCOG advanced study module (ASM) 16 and some aspects of ASM 14. There is a mix of lectures, simulation and case base discussion work.

This Advanced Labour Ward Practice ASM Course does not replace the three day RCOG ATSM Theoretical Course. This is a one day course delivered via the Health Academy at LTHTR which will cover all the practical competencies required to sign off ASM 16 and elements of the required theoretical knowledge to meet some aspects of ASM 14.  Attendance at the course is acknowledged for Trainees across the North West and Mersey Deanery.  In order to complete the ASM, Trainees attending may need to undertake further experiential learning in the clinical workplace.  We strongly advise Trainees from outside the North West and Mersey Deanery to discuss attendance on the course with their local Preceptor before enrolling.
