On Wednesday, 13th November 2024, medical students from all four Clinical Education Campuses (CECs) gathered at Christie’s Bistro to celebrate the academic achievements and the commitments of MMS undergraduate medical students.
Hospital Deans from the CECs, including LTHTr’s Hospital Dean Professor Madhavi Paladugu, along with twenty LTHTr students, joined senior members of the Manchester Medical School/Faculty in attending the events of the past academic year.
The evening highlighted a range of accomplishments, from outgoing MedSoc Presidents and Peer Mentor achievements to sporting success, academic prizes, student representative recognition, and exceptional teaching feedback. LTHTr medical students were well-represented in several categories.
Sophie Mitchell, a fifth-year LTHTr student, shared her thoughts:
“It was a lovely evening and a true celebration of everything we’ve accomplished over the past year. In such a large Medical School, it can be hard to feel like more than a small fish in a vast sea. It was heart-warming to see the School recognize students for their efforts. I was lucky to attend and see Preston so well represented.”
