The Professional Education and Development Team are excited to announce that they now have dedicated skills labs at the Preston Business Centre — a fantastic resource for delivering high-quality clinical training to our future nurses.
These state-of-the-art facilities are now home to the teaching of clinical skills for LTHTR’s University of Bolton Adult Nursing students throughout their three-year course. In addition, the team also deliver teaching for students on the Practice-Based Pathway (PBP) — an innovative Adult Nursing Degree run in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
Launched in January 2023, the PBP offers a unique learning experience by combining theory and hands-on practice within the same week, and teaching in smaller, more personalised cohorts. The pathway runs three intakes per year — in January, June, and September — with the first group set to qualify in January 2026.
The next cohort is due to start on 9th June 2025, and we’re welcoming enquiries from anyone interested in beginning their journey into nursing.
