A Happy Retirement & Warm Welcome
Dr. Louise Forman, SWAPS Associate Dean (Students Welfare And Professionalism Support) for Undergraduate medical students at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, is retiring at the end of March 2017.
Dr. Forman has been in this role for the past 3 years and was previously the communication skills lead for Undergraduate medical students since 2003. Dr Forman made every effort to change the perception of students to a positive experience within SWAPs and made it ‘Student friendly.’ Dr. Forman excelled in supporting students and seeing them successfully graduate. She will be missed by students and the Undergraduate team.
We wish her well and an enjoyable and healthy retirement life.
We would also like to welcome Dr. Fatima Soydemir, the obstetrician who will be following in the footsteps of Louise Forman as Associate Dean for SWAPS. Dr. Soydemir has been a role model for medical students and worked with students in many different roles within Undergraduate medical education such as Clinical placement supervisor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, OSCE examiner, Communication tutor, APEP supervisor, SSCP and QEPEP supervisor.
We wish her all the best in her new role.
