We’re exceptionally proud of Brittany Mollart, Widening Participation Tutor who won ‘Most Inspirational Person’ at the recent Our People Awards at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The award recognises colleagues who are simply inspirational in their approach and who place quality and people at the heart of everything they do.
Brittany was nominated by Jackie Higham, Widening Participation Manager who had this to say about what makes her inspirational. “Britt has facilitated work experience placements for over 200 students, organised work based programmes for over 50 students, supported 36 students with additional needs in the work place environment and has just completed a pilot programme for students who are not in Employment or educational training (NEET) giving them vital work experience and timetabled sessions based around application writing and interview skills. Many of these students will return to the Trust as University students and/or employees. This is all within the last 12 months. This way exceeds any expectations for her role; she is truly an outstanding individual.”
Brittany started with the Trust aged 16 in 2013 as an administration apprentice. Upon completion of her apprenticeship, she secured a full-time position as administrator in the Widening Participation Team where she has thrived. As well as working her full time role Britt has been an ambassador for the Trust promoting apprenticeships and NHS careers in schools and colleges. Her fabulous work has been recognised when she won ‘Lancashire Apprentice of the year 2015’ and ‘Prestons college apprentice of the year 2015’ for outstanding contribution to her ambassador role. She has continued to grow achieving her Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector awards and securing a promotion to Widening Participation Tutor earlier this year.
Congratulations Brittany from everyone here at the Health Academy!
