How do I book a room at the education centre?
You can book rooms through the online booking sytem via the links on the 'book us' page. 


How can we present our presentations?
You can send over your presentations to the education centre e-mail address or can bring it on a USB but we advise as a backup to send them over electronically as we have had faults before as different types of USB’s do not work.
 

What time is the Education Centre Open until?
The Education centre is staffed Monday – Friday 7:30am – 5pm. Trust ID badge access can enter the building 24 hour but all rooms are locked at night and can only be used out of hours if booked via the reception anda responsible lead form has been signed.
 

What happens if I would like hold an evening meeting/course?
People are able to hold evening/weekend events but does need to be approved by our Manager. If you are an external company there may be a charge for the hire of the room, all costs are located on the website. Due to the reception only being manned until 5pm so if you are a Trust Colleague you will just need to sign a responsible lead form at the reception desk so they can go through all procedures; you only need to this once. If you are an external company you will need reception cover unless a Trust member is attending the meeting/course/event then they have the option to be a responsible lead for the evening.
 

What are the Library opening times?
With trust ID badge access the library is 24 hours but is only staffed Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

 

Are there any car parking Facilities?
Yes, the education centre has a car park that is free of charge but this is on a strict criteria see below:


Are there any dining facilities?
Yes, we have a dining room situated at the education centre and the company also offers hospitality for meeting/courses/events.


Does the Education Centre provide Catering/Hospitality?
We have an arrangement with an external catering company called Mellor’s, which serve food in our dining room that offer hospitality/catering for events/meetings/courses. This does need to be ordered directly to them and no later than 48 hours before for food and 24 hours for drinks. 


Can you eat/drink in the room?
Yes apart from the Lecture Hall, where only water is permitted. You may eat in the other rooms but this is on the basis that all rubbish is cleared away and the rooms are left clean and tidy. Bins are situated in the room and additional rubbish bags are available if required.


Are all the rooms equipped with AV equipment?
Majority of our rooms are except the ones that are are stated below.

These are our smallest meeting rooms that are good for appraisals, 1:1 meetings and interviews.

Do you supply flipchart, paper and pens?
Yes. All our rooms are fully equipped with flipcharts, flipchart paper & pens. If you do require any more for your sessions we can provide if requested.

Where is the nearest cash machine?
There is a free cash machine located in the maternity unit just a few minutes away from the education centre.

 

Is it possible to bring our laptops/Apple Mac?
Yes. This is at your own risk as the education centre cannot be responsible for any loss or damage.


Do you have extra inputs for Apple Mac/Laptops?
Yes. If you require any adaptors to assist with your session you can sign these in/out at the reception desk.


Do you have Wi-fi?
Yes. You can obtain the username & password from reception.
