Communications & Ethics
The Communications Team offer a range of sessions for medical students in years 3,4 and 5. Sessions are interactive and aim to develop the essential skills that students will require to conduct a patient centred consultation such as History Taking, to communication in more complex situations such as Breaking Bad News and End of Life Care.
Ethics teaching, aims to provide students with knowledge on theoretical principles as tools which they can apply to solve challenging issues, whilst developing their judgement when working through complex dilemmas. These include dealing with ethical and legal challenges in clinical scenarios, and developing their ability to negotiate solutions in challenging situations with both patients and colleagues.
