The Health Academy Support Macmillan Coffee Morning

Joanne Moore Cake DesignOn Friday 27th September, The Health Academy supported the world’s biggest coffee morning by raising an impressive £185 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

From 10am – 12noon, Education Centre 1 featured a range of delicious cakes kindly baked or donated by staff members.

The winning cake (pictured right) was scooped by Clinical Education’s Health Care Assistant Training Officer, Joanne Moore.

Macmillan Cancer Support is the UK’s leading source of cancer support, helping more and more people living with cancer by providing the support, tools and inspiration needed to find a person’s best way through.

A big thank you to all staff members and students who got involved on the day and kindly donated.

To date this year (3rd October 2019), a total of £2,831,950 has been raised across the UK.

Did you know? The first ever coffee morning was held in 1990. Since then the coffee morning has raised over £200m for Macmillan.
