Medical Education

The University of Manchester's 5 year Bachelor of Medicine Degree offered in partnership with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will prepare you for a successful career as a practicing clinician.

We know that it is really important when you are deciding where to study that you make the right choice, and here at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals we provide our students with a unique 3 year clinical learning experience as part of the MBChB programme.

With up to 300 students on site we really get to know you as individuals providing a supportive personalised learning experience.  We are proud of how we involve you in developing how we deliver the programme to ensure we meet your expectations and beyond.

As well as being on placement and engaging with clinicians, nurses and patients in our hospitals we will provide you with incredible opportunities to learn the realities of living with long term conditions from patients who volunteer specifically to participate directly in your education, through one of only two UK Patients as Educators schemes.

We have a fabulous on site state of the art education and clinical research facilities with teams of dedicated multi-professional tutors and supervisors who are experts in the field of health care and education delivery. We hope that if you decide medicine is the career for you that you study here with us and benefit from all we have to offer you on your pathway to practice.
