Now that we are commencing the new academic year, it is a great time to remind all staff that the Department of Health & Social Care will be once again providing funding for eligible staff to attend CPD courses relevant to their role and development this year.
Courses can be undertaken at any UK educational institute, but training must be completed during the financial year 2023 -2024 and not exceed £333, per each member of staff.
Staff can apply for funds to cover the cost of university modules, training courses or conferences. Funding must be requested before applying for your course. The funds cannot be used for travel, accommodation, refreshments or backfill. Applications for funding are made through your Clinical Educator or Clinical Lead.
Funding is available for the following eligible groups:
Registered Nurses.
Registered Nurse Associates.
Midwives.
The following Allied Health Professionals:
Art therapist
Chiropodist / Podiatrist
Dietitian
Drama Therapist
Music Therapist
Paramedic
Occupational Therapist
ODP
Orthoptist
Osteopath
Physiotherapist
Prosthetist / Orthotist
Radiographer
Speech & Language Therapist
