Trust Retains RC(UK) Accreditation Following Successful eALS Evaluation

The Health Academy Resuscitation Team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has successfully delivered an eAdvanced Life Support (eALS) course, which also formed part of the four-yearly External Quality Assurance (EQA) review conducted by the Resuscitation Council (UK) North West Regional Representative.

Following this positive evaluation, the Trust is delighted to confirm that it has retained RC(UK) accreditation to continue delivering accredited courses for the next four years.

The visiting assessor, Anthony Freestone, commended the quality of the course, the facilities, and the professionalism of the faculty. He remarked:

“You should be incredibly proud of everyone involved in the production and coordination of your advanced courses – they are a real credit to both you and the organisation.”

This success is a reflection of the dedication and expertise of the Resuscitation Team Services, faculty members, and support staff. In particular, we extend our thanks to Neil Howarth, Team Lead/Senior Resuscitation Officer, for his leadership and coordination under pressure, ensuring the smooth delivery of the course.

We look forward to receiving the full EQA report in due course and will share further details once available.

Congratulations to all involved on this excellent achievement.
