Human Factors & Patient Safety for Anaesthetists

One day simulation and group learning course, to explore how human factors and non-technical skills, affect us and our teams and how we can use specific tools and strategies to manage the challenges that human factors can create in our working lives. You will have the opportunity to join in and observe simulations that will help us understand better what influences our behaviours and how to work and communicate effectively with team members. The course will focus on:

• Situational awareness
• Cognitive bias
• Teamworking
• Leadership and followership
• Communication

The course is designed for senior anaesthetists.

£150 including lunch. Candidates working within the North West School of Anaesthesia Regional Training are funded.
