We take great pride in enhancing each learners learning opportunities and preparing them greatly for reaching their ultimate goal of becoming a qualified Health Care Professional.
This week was extremely beneficial in allowing me to follow patients throughout their whole health journey within the hospital; starting out in consultations with clinicians and following them through to pre - op admissions, the anaesthetic room, the operating theatre and the recovery afterwards. I found this extremely useful as it has provided me with a wider clinical understanding of the numerous healthcare professionals involved in a patients journey and the role in which they fulfil. The exposure to new and unknown clinical settings has allowed me to improve my patient interaction and communication skills.
