Lancashire Teaching Hospitals has one of the largest and most comprehensive foundation programmes in the North West. We take on 66 FY1s every year and offer a choice of 22 tracks in FY1 and FY2. We provide a varied teaching programme which includes practical sessions in our state of the art simulation suite.
We are also one of the few Trusts in the North West to be awarded an Specialised Foundation track.
At Lancashire Teaching Hospitals we aim to provide an Educational Supervisor to act over the full 2 year programme. The Educational Supervisor will take on a mentor-like role, which will include careers guidance as well as a forum to discuss assessments and general academic progress. The Clinical Supervisor will act for the duration of the clinical rotation and provide a contact point for clinical advice and guidance through assessments.
