The LTHTr Skills in Practice course is offered to support doctors who are in their first UK training post. The course is designed to supportively identify and deliver any additional training that may be required.
The course covers teaching sessions and assessments on:
- Venepuncture
- IV Cannulation
- ANTT
- 12 Lead ECG
- Adult BLS
- Paediatric BLS
- Defibrillation
- Safe Prescribing
The course takes approximately 4 hours and will be arranged for you within the first few days of employment at LTHTr. We will contact your rota coordinators in advance and arrange for you to be released from your department to attend the course.
