DynaMed is a clinical point of care tool that provides the latest evidence to answer your clinical questions. BMJ Best Practice provide up to date articles on hundreds of topics specifically designed to answer clinical questions. We can deliver training sessions on how to access and use these tools.

- Do your staff need a place to study? The libraries at Chorley and Preston are accessible 24/7 and offer a comfortable place to study with plenty of IT facilities.
- We have staff that offer advice. We can offer a friendly induction and tour of our facilities. When you join the library, you are not just getting access to the books in the libraries at Preston and Chorley, but libraries across the Northwest.

- The Knowledge and Library Service runs LTHTR’s publication database. Here you can search all research published by staff and students working at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.

Topics include participant recruitment, qualitative research, publishing in peer review journals, research governance and ethics, evaluating evidence, finding the best evidence, and implementing evidence into practice.

- As part of the Training Need Analysis (TNA) for your staff we run a number training courses . In addition to a general induction to the library we can offer training on literature searching, critical appraisal, clinical point of care tools (DynaMed and BMJ Best Practice), and health literacy.
